William Gibson wrote a short one time I can’t remember the title but society was quietly breaking down because people were spending so much time in “Apparent Sensory Perception” ASP’s mode that they weren’t having marriages any more….one has to wonder, when the technology gets so real-will people want to come out? In “Tales From the Pandoran Age” I have a whole class of Overlords who essentially DON’T. Will humanity eventually become entirely digital, and if so-isn’t that kind of like “spiritual”….?
